Demand for paid Divorce lump-sum tax

I currently need an assistance.in 2018 I received my share in divorce settlement with Tax being deducted.This year I received a demand from SARS saying that I owe so far R500 and when I enquired the answer was that it is a penalty that up to so far SARS haven't received Tax return on my behalf from Cape Joints Retirement Fund from I received the lump-sum back in 2018.I have since made appointment telephonically of after I have managed to talk with the Official he now said I owe SARS an Amount of R2500 not. R500 anymore but the is no clear explanation as to how do we reach R2500, besides I hadn't be employed all my life, how did they workout this one but he didn't not help me.
