Daylight ******* and incompetence

SARS "somehow" deleted my company profile off of e-filing 2021/2022 and for the next two or more years, my tax lady attempted to re-register it and each time received a letter from Sars saying ... DECLINED... DECLINED .... DECLINED... She was unable to submit ANY VAT returns for this period of 2+ years...

EVENTUALLY Sars re-registered my little company and then promptly stole just under R200k in interest and penalties for those years of not submitting the vat returns... the capital amount was R330k...

it was THEIR fault that we could NOT SUBMIT the returns and yet... we are penalised and a huge chunk of my "profit" is GONE...

Sars is STILL holding R70k of my cash flow HOSTAGE money that I cannot utilise, even though is in my account ..... and I do not owe Sars anything.

I am beyond angry. the tax consultant says that even with the proof I have that it was NOT due to my not wanting to pay, but THEIR system that the vat returns were not submitted, they will not care. WOW.
