complaint with the lack of service
I submitted my documents via e-filing on the 01/07/2015. I then received a letter asking to submitted all my documentation as I was been audited. This was all uploaded on the 06/07/2015. I was audited last year as well and the process was simple and quick unlike this year.
On the 28/07/2015 I received a notification on my e-filing with the same letter showing that I am being Audited. I phoned SARS to see if they require any further documentation. I did this a number of times and each time the consultant said that they have everything they need and the process can take up to 30 working days from the time i submitted my documents (06/07/2015)
My SARS status reads that it has been received & assessed & i should get a notification within 2 weeks. This has since been redated 3 times. I then went into the SARS branch in Pinetown with all my documents & the consultant re-loaded it & said he didnt understand why my claim is taking so long. My case has been escalated & 2 weeks later I am still waiting for SARS to contact me. I am tired of running my phone bill through the roof on hold with them. I believe there is a tax law stating we can now charge SARS interest on the money they owe us.
