Complaint deducted tax from my Annuity Plan less than R40 000

I losend my small Annuity Plan of mine less than R40 000 which I had with Sanlam and I was Taxed thereon.

I made numerous calls to SARS and everytime they tell me another story and that my Annuity Plan is Taxable.

I also took it up with Sanlam and they said SARS instructed them with an IRP 5 to deduct Tax from my Annuity Plan.

According to Law NO TAX IS TO BE TAKEN OFF OF AN ANNUITY PLAN LESS THAN R500 000.

I am very unhappy that SARS just took my money and I worked for 38 years paid my UIF and Taxes and I am Unemployed since 2019.

I never received any Notice or nothing that I owe SARS any monies.

I even requested a Statement of Account from SARS which showd R0.00 that I owe them no money.

But they just taxed me on my Annuity Plan and everone at SARS has another story ??????????????
