Beware SARS's desperate hunt for cash!

Suddenly we have a penalty on our SARS account for 2014/07 PAYE! This despite the fact that payment was made on 7 August, which is the due date.<br> Interesting that SARS suddenly slipped this one in a long time after the fact. <br> <br> Is this so that taxpayers will possibly not have the information to refute the claim and will simply pay, thereby increasing the SARS collections in the current fiscal year, to be fought over later?<br> <br> The desperate scrabble for cash by SARS is now becoming annoying! If government cannot control its spending in the face of a declining economy, why should the public bear the brunt of this?<br> <br> It simply wastes time that could be productively spent building businesses and creating Jobs.<br> <br> But I guess that despite what Government says, this is the last thing on their agenda...<br> <br>
