Balance update affecting my payment owed

Sars has failed to update my statement of account,they say is because of supporting documents of my previous returns of 2009,which to my knowledge the case was resolved and I was requested to pay back the funds since I couldn'tprovide the documents,I paid back the funds I a period of 6 months and it can be seen on my statement of account that the account was paid in full,but somehow it still appears on balance which affects my ability to get my returns for 2021,this caused them to electronically reverse my payment owed.and none of the consultants are talked to seem to have an idea how to fix this
