Anything to not pay out

This year, SARS has done everything in its power to withhold my refund. Firstly, they decided that I needed to submit a tax return for 2007- ten years on. When I explained that I was a student, I was told I needed to obtain an affidavit from SAPS. I did as I was told. 2 months later, I was informed that I needed to update my banking details. After 3 hours at the SARS branch in Benoni, I did this. Today when I enquired about my refund, I was told there is still a block on it. This is unacceptable and if SARS wanted money from me, this process would have been very different.
