AKHONA NKANI - A SARS REPRESENTATIVE WORTH SPEAKING TO!!!

Thanks to the very unhelpful "auto-assessment" initiative undertaken by SARS, I found myself surprised to be the unwitting recipient of R4000 in penalties due to non-submission of my 2024 tax return (thanks a lot for the confusion SARS) despite having been completely compliant in paying my tax like a dutiful citizen.

This lead to one phone call with an AWFUL woman named Zandile, who lacked any shred of empathy and human decency in handling my situation and frequently cutting me off with a dismissive "let's get this over with attitude" which lead to me bouncing between rage and tears.

After getting all my ducks in a row with certificates etc. I had the absolute pleasure of being handled by Akhona Nkani who kindly, patiently and empathetically handled me and my case with thoughtful care and consideration to such an extent that there were no tears or rages on my part, just confidence that my compliance would be resolved back to its normal state.

I only make an effort to compliment when I feel someone has gone out of their way, above and beyond the expectations of their job and this is what Akhona did for me.

Please vet your staff better, you can do with a lot less Zandile's and A LOT MORE Akhona's. She was just EXCEPTIONAL!!!!
