5 months waiting for a tax number from SARS.

I app**** for a tax number in July and went through e-filing,all the steps needed. I have a sars e-filing account but my problem is l still don't have a tax number 5months later. When l call the call centre it doesn't help because they say l must wait,they will sort it out. The call centre agents are rude,the other day l could hear the WhatsApp message notification coming in on the call centre agents line. Meaning she was busy and not listening to me,l had to say hello several times to get her attention. I didn't know it was this hard to get a tax number. Is this what the new south Africa is like? I'm waiting for my UIF TERS money they say l can't be approved until l get a tax number. SARS is just another failing government entity.
