If you planning an event for this venue Don't!!

This Estate cancelled a wedding two week prior to the event happening. This was also not the first time this had happened.

The couple booked the venue 6 months prior to the actual event. I was asked to assist the couple on 24 August 2021 when they ran into their first problems with the venue. The person organising the booking was told that on a previous occasion one of the family had booked the venue as well and had their venue cancelled a week prior to their wedding.

The couple was assured that this would not happen to their special day!! It was also confirmed that the booking was in the venue calendar system and that it was secured.

Needless to say that Sunday 19 September two weeks prior to the wedding 3 October. the venue decided to cancel the venue on the couple. The venue stated that they never received a booking and no money was paid to the venue.

Please note that the venue and wedding planning are linked through siblings brother and sister.

As a family friend I was asked to act on behalf of the family in requesting that the deposit be paid back into the account. In contacting the venue,The owner of the Venue David, did not take the time to actually have a rational conversation with me, I was accused of bribery, ******ion, ********* and threatened with lawyers.
