Urgent Complaint Regarding SAQA Verification Process

To whom it may concern,

I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding the inefficiencies and lack of response from the SAQA (South African Qualifications Authority) concerning our verification process.

In March, my colleague and I initiated the verification process through SAQA, having already verified our documents through the Department of Education. We were initially told that a reprint was required, for which we paid a substantial fee. However, we later discovered that due to system changes, our verification was not recognized by SAQA, necessitating a complete restart of the process.

Despite our repeated attempts to communicate with SAQA, both through email and phone calls, we have received no satisfactory response. Our last communication on 16 May has gone unanswered, and our situation remains unresolved. We have been given contradictory information, with representatives stating that we did not verify correctly without providing any guidance on the next steps.

As a result, we are currently stuck in South Korea, unable to proceed to China without the SAQA verification. This delay has had severe repercussions on our lives and livelihoods.

Furthermore, our attempts to seek assistance from SAQA personnel named Tshepang and Nancy Malovhele have been futile. Nancy Malovhele has not even responded with quotations, citing being busy with May emails, despite our initial contact in March.

This lack of accountability and communication is unacceptable and has caused us significant distress and financial loss. Therefore, we are compelled to escalate this matter and seek resolution through alternative means, including lodging a complaint on Hello Peter.

We urge SAQA to address our concerns urgently, provide clear guidance on the next steps, and expedite the verification process or issue a full refund so we can restart the process without further delay.

We await your prompt response and resolution of this matter.
