Worst insurer ever - stay away!!!!

Our private and business insurance has been with Santam for close on 22 years. But, in the past 4 or 5 years service has been really pathetic to say the least. Every claim in the past couple of years has always been an issue. Most resent I was involved in a vehicle accident on the 22nd of December where I was rear ended on the motorway. So my claim has been approved - for 2nd hand accredited parts. Don't think I've been paying 2nd hand rates?? Unfortunately for me there are no such parts available but Santam refuses to pay OEM. Sends me an e-mail telling me if I'm not happy with that I can source the OEM parts myself and pay the difference if I wish. If you are looking at using them just don't I will never ever recommend this insurer to anybody or any company ever again.
