Where are you
It's been over a week now since we had a home invasion and notified our Insurer of the incident. Your website makes me laugh. "Claims time is crunch time and it's when we sit up and sort it out". Puke. Sadly and frighteningly, thos is the 2nd time this year. We've hardly ever had a need for insurance and yet now when we do, where are you? I thought all the bad reviews I've read about you recently were ******* but now I see....it's true. Santam is failing their clients.

13 Jun 2022, 15:21Good afternoon,
Our sincerest apologies for your loss and traumatic experience you had and are still going through.
Apologies for the delays in appointment of an assessor.
Unfortunately our claims division is severely inundated with claims still due to the KZN floods and does appointments take a bit longer for which we do apologise.
We can confirm an assessor had been appointed and we requested that he make urgent contact with you for an appointment.
Thank you and kind regards

13 Jun 2022, 15:35Dear Stephan
Thank you for your response. How are claims lodged in KZN affecting response from your assessors in EC? It doesn't make sense.
We were advised last week that an assessor was "appointed" and that is as far as it has gone. Though we feel terrible for all those affected by the floods, and are in dire need, under-staffing is not our responsibility. We are empathetic towards your over-worked staff, yet it is your responsibility to appoint sufficient staff to care for your clients. Just expecting your clients to patiently sit on the sidelines until you can attend to them isn't what your clients pay for. If you were a government institution, one would expect this shoddy "service" but not from a private Corporation and definitely not from Santam.
Regards

13 Jun 2022, 16:11Tracy,
Your response is noted.
The claim admin staff is inundated with high claim volumes and they attend to all claims across the country in respect of allocations and appointments.
I do understand your frustrations though and do apologise for this.
The assessor appointed tried making contact on the numbers noted on the claim but could not get hold of anyone and left a message, so that he can schedule an appointment.
Kind regards

13 Jun 2022, 16:18That is *******. My husband has not had any calls at all unless they decided to phone at the one time of day that he is in a meeting, which I doubt. Please ensure they use this number to contact him: ***. We will check his call log tonight. I truly hope there is a message because up to this point, everything has been a big pile of steaming doodle.

13 Jun 2022, 19:08Surprise Surprise....no message. So who is sh**** who? We have looked through my husband's messages and he has 3 separate messages over the last week and 3 DIFFERENT assessors have been "appointed" and yet not ONE has actually contacted us to make an appointment. We are livid at this stage about this complete lack of "service" and the endless excuses and unfulfilled promises. Please ensure that your assessor contacts my husband by email rather, as he is unable to answer his phone whilst supervising the factory floor. You may contact him on: ***
