Time frames and different estimates

My car was ****** and found with some damage during the theft. Two estimates to repair. Estimate one quote labour hours about half the hours as the other at R280/h with the second at R465/h. Estimates also differ on the same Toyota parts to repair..... Estimate 2 takes the cost past 50% for a write off.....I know safety is a concern but can't help feeling the second estimate was inflated.......Almost 2 months now and still waiting for the claim to be settled.
