The partial truth

<p>This is my second issue with Santam - the first is where I took out my cover with Santam and I had an issue with my laptop.</p> <p> </p> <p>I was told that it will not be covered as it was not specified. I was never told that I need to specify the laptop. (PS the incident occured in my house)</p> <p> </p> <p>The second and the reason for my complaint is where I have an issue with my laptop. I was told by the agent that I will need to take my laptop in for a "damage report".</p> <p> </p> <p>I am now told that there is an exclusion on the data back up - I agree that this is on the policy schedule but I was told by the initial agent that Santam will do their best to put me back to the position I was in.</p> <p> </p> <p>Santam does not hear my point - I have to pay them an excess as well as for my own backup when the change of hard drive is causing the data loss,</p> <p> </p> <p>They have the power to put me back to the "place I was" but refuse to.</p> <p> </p> <p>They don't keep up to their word - based on what I was told I understand that Santam needs to do their best to put me back to the place I was.</p> <p> </p> <p>I am not happy with the way my issues were handled as I was basically fobbed off and told my opinion does not matter.</p> <p> </p> <p>I was told I will be getting some letter of some sort with the escalation process. This has still not been sent to me. I had to email to remind the lady to do so.</p> <p> </p> <p>Samtam stop lieing to your clients :)</p>
