Still waiting for payment
After having a truck reserved into my vehicle in November 2015 I reported same to Santam. By January 2016 the repairs had not been authorised and the vehicle was giving me mechanical problems so I made the decision to sell the vehicle. I informed Santam who paid me out the claim less the excess claiming that they had to recover same from the company that owned the truck that caused the accident. Now 5 months down the line I am still waiting for the excess to be paid out to me only to be advised by my broker yesterday that Santam has been trying to contact a \lady\" to recover the excess. I want my excess paid out now. "

We understand that you are frustrated with the process and the time frame attached to it.
Please be advised that the legal process is a much longer one and entails legal principles and in trying to recover the costs incurred by Santam on your claim, can take very long in some instances. There are various factors that can impact here, for example, the third party or his insurers might not cooperate to have this resolved.
We will however investigate and request our legal department to provide us with feedback on this matter.
