Stay clear of Santam

My car was hit in the side by another car which failed to stop at an intersection with a stop sign. The other party is insured with Santam. My insurance will only repair my car if I pay the excess an forfeit the no claim bonus. In light of this I claimed against the other party's insurance. After many weeks and daily phone calls from myself I am finally informed that their settlement is negative. (i.e. that they don't owe me anything!) They indicate that I should be aware that other vehicles jump lights and stop signs and I should take avoiding action.
