Short term Insurance
I am insured with Integrisure that is underwritten by Santam.
I had an accident on 1 Nov 2018. The panel beaters could only start working on my car the first week in January 2019. My car was fixed by Auto Body a Santam accredited panel beater. It was finished on 26 Feb 2019. I had to pay a co-payment of R2604.15 on 26 Feb.
The claim was sent to Santam. I got a contact number from my insurance, Integrisure for Mr. Mongamele Mzongwe. I phoned him a few times on ********** and also e-mailed him a few times. Most of the time I didn't get through on his line or one of his colleagues answered and said they will give him the message.
He requested a rough sketch of the accident, which I send through the same day - 28 March.
Firstly the accident was not my fault at all. The other guy rides onto my car from the side of the road. I was traveling van East to West. The other guy was making an ******* U-turn over and drove into me from the left-hand side at the back. He did his U-turn and stopped on the other side of the road. This guy is a driver from a guy having insurance with Momentum. I tried numerous times to get through to Mr. Mongamele with no joy.
I took a route and phoned Santam's new business to try and get some clarity on why it took so long for Santam to finalize the claim. Got through to a Mr. Zandile. According to him, Integrisure is supposed to handle the claim. But Integrisure gave me the number of Mr. Mongamele at Santam. Now I am confused. Don't know even who to speak to.
Just to mention the dates. My accident was 1 Nov 2018. Was only taken in for panel beating the first week in Jan 2019. Panelbeating complete 26 Feb 2019. E-mail correspondence to Mr. Mangamele from Santam on 28 April, 14 March, 17 March. With numerous calls.
He either doesn't answer the phone, or it is off the hook, or one of his colleagues answered and indicate they will give him the message. He does not respond to my calls, neither my e-mails.
