Satam "Smart Park" misleading advertising, its a joke of a product

I heard an adverti*****t for Satam's new product called "Smart Park" the deal is to earn up to 20% off is you drive 15000 km or less a year.

I called Satam this morning, as due to the COVID situation, Ive not been using my car much and in an effort to save was much money as possible and as an existing client, I wanted to take advantage of this deal.

Sadly I was to be disappointed. they 3 options on offer, 0 to 5000km per year, 5000 to 10000km per year and 10 000 to 15000km per. year.

I was advised that you have t. choose one and this is then locked in for a year, if you drive more than that then you will have to pay an additional R5000 excess.

I worked out my milage pre lockdown and it averaged 15 000km a year over the period Ive had my car, so as not to incur the additional excess, I asked for a quote on the 15 000 program.

My current premium is R1233 per month, and on their new scheme it dropped to R1178 per month, that a whopping R55 saving, just over 4% Now I realize that maybe 20% was the maximum but 4% saving is an absolute joke and not worth the 20minutes I spent on the phone to get the "deal"

I feel that the advertising for this product is misleading in the extreme , Franky this product is a joke. Im really angry for having been misled and wasted my time with this, so much so that Im now looking for a new insurer, one that sells exactly what they advertise. Santam expect my policy cancelation shortly!
