Santam will only cover R3k of items claimed for.

After having my car broken into while out on a Friday evening Santam have decided that they will only pay out R3000-00 for the insurance claim I made. <br> This doesn't even include the smashed window on my car and the rubber window linings that have been damaged by the *****. We took the car to get the window fixed at a very reasonable price (R425-00 for a window which is a huge amount cheaper than I had expected) and now insurance say that they wont cover that because we should have waited for them to tell us where to get it fixed. However it has been raining so waiting would have caused more damage which I would have claimed from insurance for as this would have been caused by the car *****.<br> The contents of my bag in the car was worth about 14000-00 and is highly specialized sailing clothing mixed with a bit of casual clothing. <br> <br>
