Santam - thé most rediculous insurance sharks in SA

I made the worst decision of my life, changing from Outsurance to Santam. They have so many requirements before they make a payout it is beyond rediculous. My Toyota Quantum 13-seater buss caught fire in Jan 2019. Needless to say, I still have not received the insurance money. 1st the burnt vehicle had to be towed to a destination further than the nearest assessors-2nd. 3rd the assessors made an assessment - this all took about 3 weeks. 4th they only told me THEN that they need the vehicle registration papers. 5.after I got those papers they told me the licence had expired and I must renew it before they can pay out. 6. Worst of all they then needed my bisiness's CK papers to confirm I am the owner of the bus as it was in my business's name. Nevermind the fact that all my personal and business insurance was done by them. Suddenly they needed assurance of who I was. They did not require the CK documents when I opened my policy with them. Thank heavens I changed back to outsurance!! Who knows what would have happened when my geyser broke!!!!
