Santam's empty promises

<p>To Whom It May Concern<br /> <br />On the 9th of October 2016, I was involved in a traffic accident in which a gentleman (Mr Danny George) drove into my vehicle from behind. The accident took place on Van Riebeeck road in Kuilsriver approximately 16:00pm . We immediately called the police and our insurances. The case number was opened by the police (AR 44/10/2016)<br />My car is insured with Santam ( policy number: ********** 8693) on the comprehensive cover. It has now been three weeks since the accident took place and subsequent claim process was initiated and I still have not heard anything from santam. CLAIM NR – ********** 90<br /> <br />When I app**** to join Santam I spoke to a senior advisor by the name of Ralton Jonybloed and he insured my car for R70 000 . On the 13th of October the assessor, Liesel Krige, came out to check the damages of my car and called the following day to let me know that the vehicle needs to be written off. Liezel asked me if I insured the car for R70 000 and I told her yes and that this was done with Ralton. Liesel Krige did not agree with the amount that is needed to be paid out. This matter has been going back and forth between myself, Liesel and Ralton. I have not received any further constructive feedback from Ralton or Liesel Krige regarding my claim.<br />The courtesy car which was provided needs to be returned on the 23rd of October. This courtesy vehicle is my only means of transportation to work and to fulfill all other commitments expected of me . I have to attend work everyday due to the fact that it is year end and this is a busy season for the company I work for. Not being able to do so due to difficulties with transport may jeopardise my job.<br />The past two weeks has been a very difficult time for myself and my girlfriend (who was a passenger in the vehicle when the accident took place) as we have been in and out of the doctors rooms for checkups. We have been told by the doctor that we have back and neck injuries. We will soon go for our next check up on the 24th of October.<br /> <br />This is the first time that I have been involved in a car accident and I have no idea what to do next or who to turn to for help. So far this experience has been very stressful. I am hoping that sir/madam can assist me with my situation with Santam.</p>
