Santam's emergency helpline is the real deal!

On Friday night I hit a pothole and called Santams emergency helpline at 19:11.<br> <br> I was told that they could assist me by sending out a tow truck as my vehicle wasn't driveable over a long distance.<br> <br> The consultant who initially helped me said there would be no charge! Which was great!<br> <br> Fortunately I was at a safe place and was able to wait. The tow truck arrived two hours later at 21:15.<br> <br> I do understand that the towing service is a 3rd party and control over their response times is difficult but had I been in dangerous place or compromising situation, a two hour wait is not practical for an emergency service.<br> <br> Nonetheless, Thuli from the helpline did in fact ask me if i was in a safe place to which I answered yes (among friends at the time). She even called me at regular intervals to keep me updated and make sure everything was ok, which was excellent on her part!<br> <br> Thank you Thuli and Santam for the added emergency service. I know I can count on you guys in an emergency situation and would recommend you to all my friends and family!
