Santam Rejects Claim
My Double Garage attached to my house is about to collapse. Bank Requires Structural Insurance on all Bonded Properties. I was advised that any vehicles in the garage should it collapse will NOT be COVERED so if i park them outside i breach the terms of my insurance. CATCH 22 never mind RISK to LIFE & LIMB. Claim Rejected has discussed with Santam who said i should take it up with OSTI Short Term Insurance Ombudsman. Take a premium to cover risk and then when something happens they will look for any excuse within your Policy to Reject Claim ...

We are also aware that you have sent your submissions to the Ombudsman for Short Term Insurance as well as the Internal Arbitrator. We believe you have requested the Internal Arbitrator to attend to the rejection and have withdrawn the matter with the office of the Ombudsman.
We will therefore not be able to assist on this platform because of the Internal Arbitrator's attention hereto and being the highest authority within Santam regarding complaints handling.
