Santam refusing to settle July 2021 Durban Looting claims.

I had two vehicles of mine that were destroyed during the Durban Unrest in July 2021. The vehicles were completely burnt up during the looting.

The vehicles were financed through Lindsay Saker Edenvale as Code 2 (Used) vehicles. But after Santam's assessor investigated the claim, they discovered that the vehicles were previously accident damaged and repaired. Santam rejected my claims stating that these vehicles should have been insured as Code 3 vehicles, not Code 2. A friend of mine also had his Land Rover Discovery destroyed along with my vehicles. This Land Rover Discovery is also a previously accident damaged and repaired vehicle. Yet this claim was settled very shortly after the looting. How is this possible? Why then were my claims rejected??

These vehicles are currently registered as Code 2 vehicles on the natis documents and are under finance. Both vehicles were fully comprehensively insured. Both vehicles were destroyed during the looting and unrest.

Please explain to me how Santam's rejection makes any sense??

Santam rejected these claims based on their poor investigation of such. It was Santam's appointed assessor and investigator, so why must I deal with sasria? Santam have their own sasria consultant. So now all you are doing is passing the buck onto sasria, so that this issue goes back and forth indefinitely.
