SANTAM poor service and making money out of poor people
In 2016 April, I took out a cover for my Garmin vivosmart HR with SANTAM, and while taking the policy for this device, the call the assured me that the damaged, wear and tear are covered and that’s why I took the policy for my fitness watch at the time, and the policy documents were sent, and I still have them.
On the 05 of August 2019 I claim for the wear and tear as my fitness watch is damaged and my assessor was Deli Mhlanga who advised and told me that they do not cover wear and tear, and she said she will submit the claim to the committee. I took my time and called Deli because she was not getting back to me, only to find out that the claim is rejected because it’s a wear and tear.
I took time to find the document as to when I took out the policy which is back in 2016 only to find out there was no wear and tear section on the terms and conditions on my policy when I took this unit, and the policy did not include any wear and tear, only after 2017 they updated their terms and condition. I believe that the claim should be approved as it was taken before SANTAM updated their Ts and Cs.
I’ve been paying for this device for days like these, I won’t pay 3 years for nothing, I won’t let this slide till I get assisted I will also create a hashtag boycott santam on twitter. I am so disgusted with this
