SANTAM NOT HONORING A CLAIM

Claim Number: 181 907 541

I stumble on Helo Peter before and i thought perhaps issues with these Santam clients claims thinking it is perhaps the clientws faults somehow, here we find ourselves with the same issues everyone else has on Hello Peter.

We cannot explain the issues/excuses we have with Santam. It is now progressing into a legal action law suit for 1.1 million rand costing more money in legal fees.

It’s been three weeks they got the reports from their assessors yet they still do not want to pay the claim they getting more assessors to review the claim due to they do not wish to settle the claim. Weeks in and weeks out they make excuses.

Santam does not even have the decency to call their clients they let brokers handle the claim and keep on stalling the process and they just keep on extending and extending without urgency to the claim.

All these post are real people and real claims and we also landed here due to the fact Santam does not want to settle claims at all they say on Hello Peter we will get back to you shortly they never get back to you either.

We have never received a call from Santam always the brokers and the assessors they are all for Santam or for themselves not for the facts of the claim or the client, Santam will stall and extend if they do not like what the assessors say in the reports they send. They will also do their best to find any small faults not to pay.

Very bad service for processing claims very good service for quickly getting polices signed and debit your accounts and make a profit.

We have lost a half a million rand to date since we submitted our claim and exchanged multiple emails with brokers to still realize we back where we started getting nowhere enduring company losses that could possibly bankrupt our company.

We are moving to another insurance company as company that values claims and not just debits a company that values clients and with them sufficiently to process as claim

I do believe that Santam should have a class action law suit form all the complaints; Hello Peter reports here is worrying.

Santam please do not reply to this as all you will say we will follow up and get back to you but you never will.

Good day
We wish to note that Santam has been in contact with your broker and has made its intention to do a full merit investigation very clear.
Following the findings from the assessor, we will advise on whether the claim will be entertained or not.
We trust the above is in order.
Thank you and kind regards

You already have findings form a Santam assessor called Gavin plus other companies and a quote for R160 000 ansd the rapir guys stating no garantees, and multiple write off reports on a trailer by exsperts stating that's chassis is bent a frame that is bent and the trailers is a write off.
How many reports would you need, while you seeking reports we are in fact losing real money?
You have police reports for the incident and you have all the legal permits, plus you have all the correct documentation for the claim to be processed even reports from your team of assessors it clearly shows so many faults on your end and lack of paying out claims.
I will not be fooled by Santam nor will I tolerate this comment stating findings or an assessor as this was already done on your company’s behalf weeks ago and in front of you.
Poor excuses not to pay and so many facts sating you must settle the claim.
You have the reports from your Santam team you have all the documents so I do not believe your answer is in fact all correct.
I am not going to let Santam play around with me and wait any longer, I will go to court over this delays and loss of income.
When you reply here please be honest as so many Soutgh Africans needs to see the truth not the picture you trying to create on this claim. here on Hello Peter......
You ahve the reports sumbit this claim today we not waiting any longer.

Hi Santam,
Another client on your Facebook pages enduriong the same issues as we are: It is very strange we are having the same issues. Too many South Africans are being pressurized by Santam not to settle claims. L;isten nucelly i will not sit around being bullied we will go to court i will not wait any longer like these clientsd waiting months.

I love Santam Insurance and I am insured by them nothing wrong with them (yet) but their Private Assessors who also acts as private investigators & Values . I had a burglary on 12 January 2017. Goods worth +- R220 000 were ****** with substantial evidence (as per requirements), Police arrested 5 people including a Somali national. Santam sent an assessor who IS STILL handling the claim. The assessor's job is NOT to look whether the claim is legitimate but is to investigate & insure that the insurance saves money and does not pay out the full loss. An inventory of all my house contents was done by the assessor to determine the total value vs my cover, something that was supposed to have been done when I was taking the insurance and not after the loss. The assessor found that the value of all my house contents was twice the amount of my cover (I disagree) and therefore this according to him already automatically suggested that the payout will be below 50% of the total claim worth, which is a bit unfair and not indicated in my contract with Santam Insurance. The assessor uses his gut feelings or thumb suck what the insurance should payout rather than looking at the goods ****** or damage, I have requested to see how the payout determining calculations are done to prove that it's about gut feelings and can be biased. In fact this whole assessor interviews was conducted in a manner that of a polygraph test (lie detector) and it has been strenuous and more traumatic than the actual burglary. It is now over a month that I have lodged my claim but still waiting, is this acceptable?
