SANTAM, no communication and your claim is definitely not their priority

Worst experience!

No communication at all from Santam. You're claim is definitely not a priority. If you try and get information on your claim, one of four things happen: 1. You get answered in codes you won’t understand as I am a customer and not someone working at Santam who would be fami**** with the forms or codes; 2. Get ignored; 3. Receive a notification that the person who is handling your claim is on leave. 4. Or get told you are asking for to many updates. (I ask weekly)

At Santam your claim is one of many on someone’s desk. One of the people I spoke to actually told me that. They couldn’t care less about how long it take to complete your claim. I’ve been a loyal Santam customer for 4years, this is my first big claim and Santam is failing me. Today 28/02/2022 it been 22 days since my vehicle was ******, 11 days since it was retrieved from the Police and still there is no indication of when it will be moved to the panel beaters. At this stage it is taking 11days and counting for Santam to get a assessment done. This is ridiculous! I paying a vehicle installment for a vehicle I don't have and Santam couldn't care less! They have no urgency to finalise a claim. If it take a week or month they don't care because they are not the customer paying for a vehicle they don't have.

Would definitely not recommend Santam

Reviewer Update
No one phoned me yet. In Santam the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. My vehicle was ****** 06/02/2022. 18/02/2022 the vehicle was moved from the police impound. Today is 02/03/2022 and the vehicle is still not with the panel beaters. I don't understand how an assessment takes two weeks! It's almost a month since my vehicle was ****** and nothing has been done. Because it's a ****** vehicle the repair estimate is 3weeks plus! Its adding up to almost 2 months I'm paying an installment and insurance premium of a vehicle I don't have. This is ridiculous, do Santam even take this into consideration when the assessment is done?? I'm tired of Santam employees not knowing what is going on, no communication what so ever and no urgency to finalise a claim.
