Good day,
In reference to your review.
We consulted with our Direct contact centre herein and requested they trace the call between yourself and our consultant.
Our feedback is noted below:
- Right from the start of the call, the client mentioned that he saw a Santam advert regarding a quote if they cannot beat his current insurer, he asked what terms and conditions are ,they explained the following to him, he must be insured with the same insurer without any interruptions for 3 years, no claims over the past 3 years, and he should be in a position to be able to provide his current policy schedule. The client mentioned that he has had a windscreen claim and tyre’s claim, the consultant advised him the tyre claim will affect him, as he will not qualify for the take lot voucher, however they can still do the quote for him, and they gave the client an option if he would like to proceed with the quote.
- The client agreed that they continue with the quote, however he was also unhappy regarding the terms and conditions explained to him, he continued to inform the consultant that hello peter is Still coming Santam way, because they are *****, he does not agree to our terms and conditions, the consultant was clear in explaining the conditions, So this complaint is invalid, most of our competitors such as OUTsurance and Iwyze insure also have the same conditions applicable if they can’t beat your current quote.
- We can confirm that the client further confirmed he is paying lesser premium of R1400 by his insurer, whereas Santam has quoted him a premium of R2089,00 but because of his claims within the past years he won’t qualify for the voucher and this was explained to him.
The correct process was followed herein and the terms and conditions was explained upfront to you.
Unfortunately if one does not comply with those requirements you will not qualify for the Takealot voucher.
Kind regards
Client care
