Santam insurance good and proper... when it suits us

Put in a claim for a leaking pipe after leak detection was done it was discovered that the pipe is in a cavity wall which means the wall has to be broken open including my new tiles only to be told that I have to pay to open the wall and prove to santam that the pipe is leaking(note they send plumbers to do above mentioned leak detection). This after showing the assessor the water damages on my walls where the paint is bubbling as well is the mold on the carpets where the water has started seeping through the wall! The assessor then decided to question me on why the paint was removed on some spots where I had a contractor take a look to advise me on what's going on. The contractor removed the paint to show that the cement is also wet and turning to a fine dust. I have been fighting for close to a month now to get them to at least fix the leak but to this day they refuse to assist in anyway. DO NOT INSURE WITH THEM AS THEY WILL ONLY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND MAKE ALL SORTS OF EXCUSES WHEN YOU NEED TO CLAIM!! BY FAR THE WORST INSURANCE COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!!
