Santam horse trading and deliberately slow

I was involved in a bumper bashing in the Pilanesberg Game reserve in February this year . On the 07/03 I submitted all necessary documents to the gentleman that hit my car and he forwarded on to his brokers. They inturn sent the documentation on to Santam. It is now just over two months later and Sanlam responded by horse trading by means of a settlement offer. Why ask for two quotes if you are not going to accept them? The amount claimed was in the region of R 3,700.00 for the lowest quote and they offered me R 1700.00. Who is supposed to pay the difference, me? They had every opportunity to send out their own assessor which they did not do. To get hold of the relevant person at Santam has also proven to be very difficult indeed. They should be ashamed of themselves considering that their client drove off after hitting my vehicle and I had to chase them down. I suppose Santam do not have any ethics or conscience and will let profits dictate how they run their business
