SANTAM deducts amounts *******ly

I used to have insurance with SANTAM many years back. I cancelled my insurance with them in 2004. I added an sms notification service to my bank account, and was surprised to see that R34 is deducted monthly for them off my account. I enquired with them and they stated it was for a personal accident policy which was linked to the short term insurance (as I am lead to believe). Given that I had cancelled my policies back in 2004 I enquired for how long this had been deducted, and it appears that it has been deducted every month since then. I was asked to write a cancellation letter by SANTAM, and their supervisor, which I did. I asked them to provide the recording where I agreed to this policy, failing which to refund the monies deducted from my banking account. they said they would take 7 or so days to investigate and would revert with their findings. To date, after email reminders no feedback or refund has been made by SANTAM. I am not considering directing this query to the insurance ombudsman for resolution. Wonder how many other people have such ******* deductions on their accounts?
