Santam cutting corners to pay for claims

I have been a loyal customer for Santam for the past 15 years and I've never had any claim rejected in the past. But these days it feels like Santam just cut corners where they can to reject claims.

I have made a claim few years ago because my garage door went down on a ladder and without any issues Santam were able to pay for this claim. More recently I had a similar claim. Some paint tins in the top of my roof fell onto the garage door while in open position and this damaged the door. I've put in a claim and some wordings in the schedule suggested that impacts will only be covered for specific stuff and it all felt like events that are not likely to happen.

I am quite disgusted by this insurer - I am definitely starting to look around elsewhere. I feel sorry for the broker who has done everything to help us over the years, but he can only help so much.
