Santam cannot be trusted
Put in a claim for " business interruption " that i have been paying premiums on for 28 years to cover this eventuality should it occur , after not hearing for two months , Santam appoint a loss adjuster , 24 hours before our meeting he cancels on the instructions of Santam , i complain to Ombudsman and Santam tells them my claim has been settled , I notify Ombudsman that they settled my claim for stock deterioration not business interruption and reopen my complaint , Santam then state there is no claim registered for me , but they appointed a loss adjuster , then they ask for proof somebody had Covik-19 within 50 km of my business , then they ask proof Covik-19 closed my business , one lie , stalling tactic after another , i would warn people to be very careful of insuring with a company with these ethics .
