Santam brands you as a liability if claim for a large amount, like for an armed ******* etc.

<p>After having an armed ******* in which many items were ****** which included a whole safe with a substantial amount of Kruger Rand’s, two tv's my daughter’s wedding ring and more. They also stole my daughter's Opel Corsa on their way out.</p> <p>Santam paid out the value of the ****** goods.</p> <p> </p> <p>On another occasion Lightning struck my house that damaged all my electronic devices. Santam paid for all the damages.</p> <p>The point is that all the above was not my doing. Armed ******s and nature were to blame.</p> <p> </p> <p>Other than that there were a few other claims for a few minor items which Santam also paid out.</p> <p> </p> <p>I was informed a few days ago after the armed ******* that Santam has stopped my insurance police with me because I was a liability to their company.</p> <p>I then asked my broker to negotiate with them to remain a member with Santam.</p> <p>The reply I got was if I continue with Santam that my monthly premium will increase by </p> <p>R450.00 per month and that I will have to pay R3, 000.00 excess per item that I claim from them in the future.</p> <p>It tells me that Santam is there to make money out of us and pay out only when it is convenient for them. They are there purely to make money out of us and if we become a liability to them, they simply tell you that you are no longer insured by them.</p> <p>Why do they not take into consideration the premium of over R4, 500,00 per month for so many years.</p> <p>I am disgusted with them and I will not say a good word about them.</p>
