SANTAM - BAD SERVICE
My husband's car was ****** on 27/1/2015. I put in a claim with Santam and the asessor came to see me. First I had to fight about them wanting to take an excess while I have excess waiver on my policy.

Then on Friday, 6 February, I was told that the claim was resolved and money paid out. The money will be in my account within 2-3 working days. This morning I was told that the money was only paid in yesterday. My husband has been looking for another car and has an option on a car till tomorrow, as the person has 2 other people also interested in the car.

At about 12:00 today, I was again told that the money will only be paid to me this afternoon. This means that my husband will loose the car. This service is totally unacceptable.

I want Santam to make a payment and CLEAR it, so the money will reflect in my account immediately!
We hereby acknowledge receipt of your posting above.
We are really sorry to hear about the delay in processing your payment.
We believe you have also posted a comment on twitter to which we have already rep****.
We can confirm that no payment was loaded or approved on Friday the 6th of February 2015. Santam only received the assessors report, together with all the relevant documentation, keys and signed agreement of loss, on Monday the 9th of February 2015.
Unfortunately there is a process in place and once an assessor advises you that the claim is approved, does not mean that the payment has been authorised already.
The payment was approved yesterday 10 February and the money will reflect into your account within 48 hours.
Our sincere apology for the miscommunication and misunderstanding with regards to the processinbg of the payment.
Thank you and kind regards
