Santam are USELESS and masters of DENIAL

I am insured with Santam and pay a hefty premium. I had an incident whereby I hit a pothole and damaged 2 rims and tyres. This happened in a rural area in North West where I was travelling through with my family to our holiday destination. I called Santam and advised what had occured. The consultant said that I must go ahead and get it sorted, pay and then forward the invoice to Santam. Drove to the closest tyre centre that I could find with the help of Google only to find out that they don't have the size in stock and that the wheels cannot be repaired and even if it was attempted, it will give up very soon. By this time I had already driven 24km but luckily I had run flat tyres. Drove to another tyre shop but they didn't have the tyre size. Eventually one of the locals directed me to another tyre store 35km away. Once they took off the wheels they said that it definately needs replacing and that the tyres were cut in the inside. The roads in Pilansburg are certainly not even average. They did not have the exact type of Rim and I called Santam to inform. Again the consultant said that there's nothing that they can do and the tie truck will not how me to Jhb since I was 230km away. Anyway she said I must sort it and send the invoice to them. I had no choice and fitted on the tyres and 2 rims that don't match. I returned to Jhb and a day later lodged the claim with Santam. Took a week for them to give me any feedback despite me calling for an update. Then I was asked for photos. Luckily I did manage to take out two despite not being informed that it's required. Sent it to them and then everything went sour. I was told that the damaged rims were needed...How the hell was I to know that, none of the consultants told me that is even about photos. Then I was told that I cannot be paid as I don't have the damaged rims. Asked to speak to the assessors manager Zaid Bhamjee who by the way makes up rules as he speaks to you. He said that he drove many BMW's and it's unlikely that I could have fitted on replacement wheels and tyres. Then he said that it's impossible that Santam could have given me authorisation and I said please refer to the call recordings as it's clear that he is finding every excuse not to reimburse me. I told him to please send me all the call recordings and gave him the date and time of each and that I am lifting a case with the ombudsman. He came back saying that I must drive all the from Jhb to Pta so he can assess and refer it to their panel of repair centres and that I can hear the recording when I get there. Santam has many assessors in the road, why can't they come to me since all I'm getting is their lousy excuses. If in the first place either of the agents should have told me to clearly take photos and being back the damaged rims and tyres then it seems like maybe there would be done progress. But I am now ignored because their agents are *********** and their assessors before finding out facts make assumptions and provide stupid excuses as they go along. My car, house and personal items are insured with Santam and they offer insurance that is Not GOOD and Certainly Not PROPER. So please don't trust Santam as their employees tell you something but then they make up excuses and stories. IF THEY LISTEN TO THE DAMN RECORDINGS THAT WOULD KNOW THAT THEY ARE IN THE WRONG AND BEING *********. Please don't send me a message. Do your homework then your job and sort out my matter
