Santam- a satisfied customer.

I was with Outsurance, having compared costs and cover, No issues. Then I read some rave reviews about Santam on Facebook, and switched. My premiums are way lower and, because I'm of a certain age, I pay no excess. Bonus! I've submitted four claims within seven months, which I'm sure is unusually frequent (thank you Eskom!)- for minor flood damage and power surges- and Santam have been a pleasure to deal with. I have mostly dealt with Roxy Claasen regarding my claims, while Neo Mantashe was excellent in walking me through setting up- and adjusting- my policy. Do your homework though (goes for all insurers) as accidental damages are not covered unless you go through a broker, and you have to set a ceiling for surge issues. I did initially have a hiccup registering on the Santam client portal, with no response from the support staff until Neo stepped in to assist.
