Santam 4x4 insurance - worst EVER!
Do not be fooled by the Santam 4x4 insurance. I was left stranded in very rugged terrain in Namibia only accessible by a 4x4 recovery vehicle. I specifically took out their 4x4 insurance cover as they advertise with great fanfare that they offer recovery equipment, winching equipment, emergency field repairs and and and… Only to be told whilst I am stuck that I am actually not covered. It had to have been a collision before the policy kicks in. I have been a Loyal customer for more than 10 years!! I will make it my mission to spread the word far and wide about this bitterly disappointing experience. If you want proper 4x4 cover, go to a company that understands what that actually means.

05 Sept 2022, 07:55I am aware of what was paid out. The nature of my complaint is that your 4x4 cover is a sham as R2500 hardly covers anything when a vehicle is stuck in 4x4 terrain. That is the message that I am spreading far and wide.
