Response required

Approximately 10 years ago I insured my vehicle with Santam. I was involved in an accident. I was stationery at a robot when another vehicle hit my vehicle from behind. I claimed for the accident. Santam paid the claim but cancelled my insurance. I also remember receiving calls from the other party involved in the accident advising me that Santam was claiming cost from them. The issue I have that whenever I need to take out any sort of insurance I am asked if any insurance company has ever cancelled my insurance and I then state that Santam has. However I cannot provide Santams reason for doing so. I have contacted Santam to request documentation regarding their reasons that I can use to get a legal opinion on take the matter to the Ombudmans as I feel that for many years now Santam's decision has been impacting on me. I have contacted Santam but my call is transferred to various people that cannot assist. I really don't know how to resolve this issue.
