I would like to bring the following issues to your attention concerning the plumbing work carried out on 8-9 May. The plumbers arrived on 8 May to fix our geyser and subsequently disconnected it, allowing us to access water again. However, they mentioned that our geyser setup in the garage against the wall was not compliant, and they needed to move it outside. This involved rerouting pipes and extending electrical cables. On 9 May, the plumbers returned to complete the job, but I have several concerns about the quality and compliance of their work (please refer to the attached images for reference). Firstly, the initial set of electrical cables was installed haphazardly across two walls. When I questioned why they did it this way, they said that the insurance initially refused to approve the claim and only authorized funding for two elbow joints. I was not informed that my insurance was hesitant to cover the claim, and the installation was poorly executed and unprofessional. Following my complaint, they re-ran the cabling, which resulted in additional holes in the walls, creating a visually displeasing setup. Furthermore, the large holes left by the new cabling are unsightly and indicative of sloppy work. I am also concerned about the use of PVC piping for hot water lines, which doesn't seem suitable for this purpose. Additionally, the extended electrical cables are now placed under the water pipes, raising serious safety concerns. I question whether these plumbers are even qualified to handle electrical wiring. If another plumber were to inspect the work, I'm confident they would declare it non-compliant. I find the work unacceptable, and I refuse to pay the insurance excess until these issues are resolved. I must stress that having plastic PVC piping over electrical cables is a significant safety hazard. Please send a qualified team to fix this mess as soon as possible. Thank you for addressing this urgent matter.
Best regards,
