POOR SERVICE WITH REGARDS TO CLAIMS

<p>My vehicle is insured withSantam through SAUnderwrtiters. I submitted a claim for accident damage and on instructions of the insurer obtained two quotations one for R 15 969-13 and one for R 18 791-70. The claim was approved but for R 11 223-01 less excess of R 4 228-00 therefore R 6 995-01.</p> <p>According to them this is what thier assessor estimated the damages to be.</p> <p>We obtained a price for the spares alone which was R 13 188-00.</p> <p>Their assessors quoted R 8 111-25 for spares - R 1 400-00 for paint and R 130-00 for Labour.</p> <p>I was told we can use pirate spares instead of genuine spares.</p> <p>The panelbeaters who got the authorisation actually refuse to do the work and was understanderbly disgusted at the labour prices.</p> <p>I phoned the person handling the claim (Joyce Marabo) she actually told me that i need not to worry how they calculate work.</p> <p> </p>
