Please give me your CEO's direct tel no so I can tell him this lies?
To cut a long story short I received an e mail from assessors on behalf of Santam stating that they had a look at the car and quotation and its due to : Assessor confirms that the damage is due to mechanical failure, coolant and hose side of cylinder head to radiator snapped. Firstly blatant lies. Assessor never came and saw the car. Secondly no person who has a proper qualification as a mechanic can give you a quote on water damage nor can they diagnose. But we have Santams assessors not sure which university they went to . Maybe the same one that the transport services CEO went in Germany when he could not spell the name of the university in Germany but demanded in all his letterheads should end as Dr. end with PHD. His response in court was someone was making fun at the transport services and gave him the title as Dr with and ending PHD. Is this the case of your assessor Santam? No sane human being can diagnose something without seeing nor can state and refute a quotation that cannot be given by a board certified mechanic. We had tried Toyota itself and they could not quantify or give a quote without physically dismantling the entire engine. But what we are going to do is to write to the CEO of Santam. Explain how for over two months we were fed lies given the run around and now more lies from its assessors. If it means us catching a plane to hand deliver it, will do so as it is not right to treat people this way. Truely unbelievable Santam? Are you going to continue having these caliber assessors in your panel when they are blatantly lying. We have CCTV at the house. Ask the assessor the day he came what time as the keys are locked inside the house. Not sure if he is another Houdini who can pull of something like that. Secondly a quotation. No mechanic can give you one. We never gave one. In the e mail assessor refutes our quotation. What quotation when none was given? With regards to his **** story some hose snapped. What college did this man go to? Not seeing the car and make that diagnosis and saying Santam he was at the car. Really now Santam you employ people of this caliber to be your eyes and ears on the ground? We get it we have a huge brain drain as all talented folks are long gone but surely youll can employ some folks who have some background knowledge of mechanics went to some technikon did a mechanics apprenticeships worked at a panel shop dealership etc has notched some years in the motor game and then make him an assessor. Just employing someone is not on. Please do due diligence when appointing assessors. We have waited over two months and its time to stop this foolishness and reimburse us so we can get on the business of repairing this car and not waste time with the car being sent to the AA to refute your assessors foolish diagnosis and then suing Santam for the damage and loss of use for two months. Santam can just get us a new corolla as by the time it goes to court with the AA as expert witnesses throwing the mumbo jumbo diagnosis out of the window . Santam will pay for loss of use by then maybe 6 months. We have been unduly prejudiced for so long already. The purpose of insurance is to put us in a position we were before the water damage. So we humbly ask Santam to reimburse us now so we can become mobile now and not go the route of the above as then we would claim for loss of use which the courts will entertain looking at the blatant lying. Your assessor GOT A NERVE? Is he serious? What school did he go to. That school needs to be blacklisted? No mechanics can make a diagnosis he made without seeing and secondly saying he was here when the CCTV will verify he never ever turned up. Then a quotation? Please e mail me the CEO's e mail so we can apprize him of the lies right from Idris to now.

Suddenly the mention of international mechanical engineers entering the fray and no quotation was ever sent , jolted the assessing company quickly conceding it was an error on their part. Santam do you see our frustration. We were on the verge of getting more picture of the residue on the hose and connections which scientifically says the car has been standing and nothing has been tampered with like the assessor was saying without seeing the car. So to all santam policy holders please be wary of assessors conclusions as in this case pure fabrication and once santam receives it, they have the best lawyers in the business to defend that conclusion because the assessors word is the gospel. However an assessor is not an international board certified mechanical engineer and I think it became clear to him to get the front office staff to take the blame. Its sad those the erroneous diagnosis and fabricated quotation sent to Santam and the quick response from Santam claims to decline the claim even though we explained to the claims that it is not adding up!
