Pathetic Service by Santam

I submitted a claim for a lost key replacement last Monday the 13th with Santam and Only today Friday the 17th i got a confirmation that a "Lost Key Assessor " has been finally appointed (why appoint a Key Assessor is Beyond me), and will contact me on Monday the 20th to " Assess my Lost Key" I suppose.

Needless to say:- on Friday the 10th I submitted a similar claim for my other vehicle with Momentum and without Hustle and any " Key Assessor " involved my claim was Settled in Full come 12 midnight on Sunday the 12th, as a result I was able to go and place an order for my replacement key with the dealership concerned on Monday the 13th.

I didn't cover the vehicle in question with Momentum because "Santam quoted me slightly less and I thought I should take the Cheaper cover not anticipating challenges at the time of need.

Well the Assessor called me 1st thing today as promised thank you.

However, it is common cause that when you take out a vehicle cover you mostly focus on the fact that your vehicle is covered Comprehensively and to the Market Value against Damage and/or Loss due to theft.

Momentum Paid in full ( R30K +)for the Replacement of my Range Rover lost keys in two days , While Santam is Only offering R1000 of the R6000 Replacement cost for my BMW lost keys and Only 8 days later.
