No feedback or policy documents received

Got a quote for building insurance on the 25th of February, which I accepted insurance to start on the 1st of April, but did not receive policy documents. Got a call on the 3rd of March with additional questions pertaining to my thatch roof. Answered the questions and was told it will be sent to the underwriters to review and I will receive feedback in 48 hours. Called to follow up on feedback on the 9th of March, as I had received nothing, was told they will escalate it and I will receive feedback in 48 hours. Called to follow up on feedback this morning, 14th of March, as I STILL HAVE NOT received feedback, was told they will escalate it AGAIN, but cannot tell me when I will receive feedback, as they are the middleman and are not sure. 3 consultants and 2 weeks later and I still don't know if I will be covered from the 1st of April. If I don't get feedback by Wednesday the 16th March, I'm cancelling with Santam and carrying on with my current insurance.
