Motor vehicle accident: Third party claim

Hi there

Can anyone advise me where I can submit my third party claim. I've emailed Santam twice and it only responded to my first email. I've also sent my claim via the post office about two weeks ago and no reply.

Good day Eddie,

Thank you for your post above.
Please advise if you have received a Santam claim number from our insured already?

If so, please provide us with that number then we will be able to advise which legal branch will attend to your third party claim?

Thank you and kind regards

Good day Eddie,

Thank you for your response. May I please request where you have sent these documentation too, which email address did you use? Reason I am asking is that if there is not claim number in the subject line they can associate/link the documentation with, nothing unfortunately will be done.

My suggestion would be is if you could obtain the claim number from the Santam insured or his/her broker, that is if he/she has registered a claim with Santam yet, and provide me with that number, then I will be able to assist and find out which legal department will attend to this claim.

Am looking forward to your further feedback herein?

Thank you and kind regards

Good afternoon Eddie,

Thank you for the feedback. Unfortunately those mailboxes is not claim mailboxes and as mentioned earlier, nothing will be done as there are no claim number linked or indicated.

Unfortunately we cannot attend to any third party claim unless we have the claim number and our client has submitted a claim. Do you perhaps have the registration number of our client, then I can use that to check if a claim was registered.

Thanking you in advance.

Good day Eddie,

Thank you for the information. Unfortunately I cannot trace any claim registered on this vehicle registration number.
We therefore do not know if a claim had been registered as yet and only once a claim is registered our legal team can attend to your claim.
We cannot force our insured to register a claim, he has 30 days in terms of his policy contract to register a claim.

Have you only been in contact with Mr Rysbergen or his broker as well?

A claim will have to be registered by him or his broker before we can attend to your claim.
Apologies for this.

Kind regards

Hi Eddie,

Thank you for your post --- that is all good and well directing you to Santam, but we would need a claim number to ascertain which legal department will deal with your claim. He need to provide you with the claim number otherwise we cannot assist herein.

Many thanks.

It is only a pleasure and apologies we couldn't trace the claim number sooner.
Yes I would appreciate if you could do that.
