Misleading

I took out a policy a year ago with Santam and I queried the other day if my home contents is a full cover and they told me no it is a different cover. I told them to change it and they said they cannot. Why would you offer this cover to customer before offering the full cover and lucky i dont have a claim or it would have been rejected.
