Looking for ways to not Pay Out CLAIMS

Good Day Everyone,

I would like to take the time to post a review on how unfairly i was treated by santam short term insurance.

I was Hi-Jacked on the 25-05-2022 in Port Elizabeth in an area called Mother Well where i am currently working.

After being Hi-Jacked i managed to find my vehicle an hour or so after being Hi-Jacked by using find my Andriod.

While being Hi-jacked my cellular device was taken from hence the above being able to find the vehicle.

SAPS was called out and because we recovered the vehicle the police office asked if we would like to open a case if we did due to the crime being a Hi-Jacking the vehicle would need to be taken for finger prints and whatever other procedures the SAPS has and once the vehicle is released back to us it will be released as a ****** and recovered vehicle which will then impact the value of the vehicle.

I than opted not to open the case as the vehicle had very minor damages and wasn't worth losing so much of money on the value of the vehicle i did however go and have a Affidavit done for proof of the incident.

I than filed the claim with Santam of which i had told them i will self insure the vehicle as the damages as stated above wasn't much. but i did need to process a phone claim as that was taken.

After all validations are done i am told in order for the claim to be paid out i need a case No i then go back to the police station to ask and they notify me if i open a case the vehicle will need to be surrender back to the SAPS for there internal procedure of which when the vehicle is given back same thing it will be given back as a ****** and recovered vehicle.

Now i can't seem to under 1 thing from Santam the point of insurance is to put the individual in the same financial position there were in prior to the incident.

Now if i open a CASE my vehicle is taken and given back to me as a ****** and recovered vehicle which than means i lose value of the vehicle just for the case number in order to get a phone paid out.

Furthermore please can santam explain how are they putting me in same financial position if they want the vehicle to lose value just to pay out for something totally different?

Second question if my phone had fallen and gotten damaged i would need to get an affidavit which is enough in order to pay out a claim so why now do u need a case No?

Yes i do understand there is procedure in place for whatever reasons santam might have however does this not apply from scenario to scenario or is this just a way for santam to use this silly minor excuse not to pay out for a cell phone?

To me it seems as if you guys at santam are looking for whatever reason to reject someone claim or not pay out.

Maybe santam is broke and can't even afford to pay for such a cheap item imagine a big claim?

I have a substantial policy with santam paying close to 4k per month to be rejected for a 20k claim?

I am filing this with there internal disputes department and if that doesn't work i will take it to the ombudman.

Based on 1 simple Fact you as santam are not putting me in the same financial position prior to the event by forcefully wanting a case and the repercussion of a case mean depreciation of the vehicle value.

I will put this on every single social media platform to make sure that my 1 million viewers on tiktok see what you guys are about.

I will further make sure my business to moved away from you disgusting inconsiderate people i was hi freaken jacked a flippen GUN point and 20k is to much to help a person that pays you low life money driven people to assist for 20k?

Money which you would essentially recover in what 4 months .

SANTAM you disgust me!!!!!!!!!
