Lack of communication

Good day,

I would like the raise some seriously shocking service on a third party claim. I am currently insured by someone who is underwritten by Santam.

Another client of yours smashed out my stationary vehicles back window on 19/11/2016. I was in contact with their broker on the 22/11/2016. I received a claim number from them on 25/11/2016.

After hearing nothing more, I contact Santam directly on 28/11/2016 and received a mail detailing the documents required. These documents were sent through on 01/12/2016. I outlined the fact that I had just moved and the registration papers were in a box and unavailable however, I am insured by a company under written by Santam so this should not be a problem. I also sent an extract from a mail from my insurer stating that I was not claiming from them.

After radio silence from Santam, I followed up again on Monday 05/12/2016 and was informed that Santam did not receive the mail as it wsa bigger than 3mb. I resent the documentation via 10 mails the same day.

After another week of no communication from Santam, I had to follow up yet again. I tried calling on Tuesday 13/12/2016 and was informed th consultant was on leave that day and no one else could assist me. I was then able to get through to the consultant (phone) yesterday 14/12/2016 where she was very appologetic and said that she would look into my documentation sent through.

I received a mail requesting the vehicles registration papers and a letter from my insurance stating that I am not claiming from them. Same day, I forwarded the mail from my broker and posed the same question again regarding the registration papers.

Today 15/12/2016 I followed up (Phone) again and have been informed that the the fact that I am insured by someone who is underwritten by Santam is not proof enough that the vehicle belongs to me.

My disappointment:

Lack of communication from Santam and emails are only responded to after phone call. Questions raised in the mails were not answered as if they had been, I could have arrange to take a day off work to go to the traffic department for the registration papers last week already. If my mails were actually read, the extract from my insurance would have been picked up and not requested again.

Now two weeks will have passed since supplying the documentation and questions raised. Given this time of year, everything is closing and I have to drive around with a vehicle that is not secure. Can your urgent attention PLEASE be given to this claim?

Looking forward to hearing from you.
