After 3 days and plenty calls first Santam could not give me the initial quoted premium for short term insurance they offered and instead it was now R700 more. Then came the next shocking statement. They can only do a better premium in my wife’s name. Well that sounds just like ***ual ************** too me. I am 53, my wife 54. She had 4 motor vehicle claims in the past ten years, I had only one 8 years ago when a taxi hit us. She travel more than double my distance to work everyday. I have a professional driver permit, she only normal drivers license. So tell me now how does she qualify for a nearly R400-R500 per month better premium? Forgive me if I am wrong, but this sounds too much like ***ual **************.
